Privacy Statement

Maya wijsheid is responsible for processing personal data collected through the website. We offer all users the option to view, modify, or delete all personal information. We limit the processing of personal data to what is strictly necessary and handle your data with care.

Personal Data We Process

Maya Wijsheid processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you have provided this information to us yourself. This includes:

• First and last name
• Address details
• Telephone number
• Email address
• Date and time of birth
• For business customers within the EU: company name and VAT number

Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data

Maya wijsheid processes your personal data for the following purposes:

• Processing your order and payment
• Applying the 0% VAT rate for the supply of goods and services within the EU
• Sending our newsletter
• Sending Tzolkin service emails to Maya wijsheid customers
• Creating an account on the website for online courses
• Contacting you by phone or email if necessary to provide our services
• Informing you about changes to our services and products
• Delivering goods and services to you
• Preparing for a consultation, workshop, course, or training

If you register for a course, workshop, or training, we will also request your address details.

If you request a consultation, we use your name, email address, or telephone number to contact you.

For a profile, consultation, workshop, course, or training, we also ask for your date and time of birth. This information is used to create your profile or to prepare for the session so we can guide you properly.

When signing up for the newsletter, we use your name and email address solely for that purpose. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in the footer of any newsletter you receive from us. By subscribing, you consent to the processing of your data in accordance with these terms.

Customers of Maya wijsheid who opt in may receive emails on dates that are personally significant according to the Tzolkin calendar, such as their birthday. These emails are sent from our own database, not through external software. For this, we use name, email address, and date of birth. You may unsubscribe at any time by a reply on any such email.

We use MailBlue for our newsletters. By subscribing to the newsletter, you acknowledge that the data you provide will be transferred to MailBlue for processing in accordance with MailBlue’s Privacy Policy and Terms.

We do not track your activity on the website. For our statistics, we use Google Analytics, in which all data is anonymized and not shared with third parties. Your information is never sold to others.

How Long We Store Personal Data

Customer data in our database and accounting records is stored for seven years, in accordance with legal and tax obligations.

Account data of participants in online courses is stored for the duration of the course and then deleted.

Security of Your Personal Data

Maya wijsheid takes the protection of your data seriously and implements appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized alteration. Our website uses a secure SSL certificate. If you believe that your data is not properly secured or if there are signs of misuse, please contact us at info@mayawijsheid.nl.

You may request by email which personal data we have stored about you, and you may request corrections or deletion. To ensure that the request is made by you, we ask that you include a copy of your ID with your request. In this copy, please black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone), passport number, and Citizen Service Number (BSN) to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks. You will be notified if, despite all measures, anything has gone wrong involving your personal data.

All employees with access to personal data are bound by a confidentiality agreement with Maya wijsheid. We share your personal data only when necessary for business operations, service delivery, or to meet a legal obligation.

We may update this privacy statement from time to time, for example if we believe it can be made clearer or if our services or procedures change.
